The Maxwell Institute offers intensive and clinic-level outpatient chemical dependency treatment and education services for adults, adolescents, and their families. Treatment includes:
--Comprehensive evaluation services
--Day and evening intensive and clinic-level services
--Individual and group psychotherapy
--Couples and family therapy
--Treatment Services for co-occurring disorders
--Aftercare and relapse prevention groups
All programs support the progress made in the primary phase of treatment, helping individuals to maintain their recoveries by capitalizing on their strengths and prior gains in treatment. Maxwell's treatment programs are consistent with community-based support groups and clients are encouraged to attend these self-help activities. We work collaboratively with patients who have a private psychiatrist or therapist.
Maxwell is open Monday through Friday, with morning groups from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon groups from
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. We offer evening services for those employed full-time or attending school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Community Education Programs
In addition to clinical services, Maxwell provides training and education about topics such as binge drinking, bullying, social skills training and other topics for schools and community organizations tailored to meet the needs of each audience. For more information, click here.
